Through Leader Mittland Plus, organizations, associations and companies can apply for support for rural development. The geographical area of Leader Mittland Plus is the municipalities of Bräcke, Ånge, Timrå and the rural areas of Sundsvall municipality.

A place to be proud of
Leader Mittland Plus' local development strategy, which we call Dream Village 2030, will help develop your and our dream village so that it becomes, or continues to be, a place to long for.
Through the project support the association provides to organizations in rural areas, we will together achieve a strong local business community that provides livelihood opportunities and an attractive and sustainable living environment. Sustainability and the circular idea permeate the local development strategy.
It is all of you committed and co-creative people, associations and companies who live and work in the area who have come up with the ideas behind the strategy, and it is you who will also have the opportunity to apply for project support to realize your ideas and influence our common future.
What we do together today gives hope for a good future for future generations in our rural areas.

Vill du vara med och stärka beredskap i vårt område?
Just nu söker en eller två lokala samordnare till vårt nya projekt Beredda grannskap Mittland. Uppdraget handlar om att skapa möten, bygga nätverk och stärka lokal beredskap tillsammans med invånare, föreningar och kommuner.
Uppdraget kan genomföras antingen som konsultuppdrag eller som anställning hos Leader Mittland Plus.
OBS! Projektet startar redan i slutet av augusti.

If you have an idea for rural development, contact us!
If you or your organization has a project idea but is wondering how it can be developed, if you are interested and curious to know more about leader support, contact us at the office and we will help you with an initial expression of interest.
There are also micro-supports that can be applied for directly from the Leader office without going through the Swedish Board of Agriculture's form. You can find information about all available micro-supports under the heading "What we do" in the list at the top.

What is the Leader Method?
Non-profit commitment is the foundation
The Leader method focuses on local roots, initiative and commitment. The method is based on collaboration between the public, private and non-profit sectors. The Leader method is used in thousands of places throughout the EU, of which our area in Leader Mittland Plus is one.
This is how it goes
Step 1
Getting started
All projects start with an idea. Perhaps you in your association or village team have a proposal that will develop your place, or you have seen the results of other inspiring leadership projects and want to run your own.
Here we describe what you need to consider when applying for support from Leader Mittland Plus. Please take a look at our basic requirements and selection criteria. In the local development strategy you can read more about our goals, areas of focus and principles and see if your idea can be granted project funding.
Step 2
Writing an application
Once you have spoken to us and your project idea has been approved, it is time to submit an application to the Swedish Board of Agriculture. Our board, also known as the LAG board, will then make a decision based on the selection criteria in our strategy and make a score assessment.
If the project receives an approved decision from the board, the matter is forwarded to the Swedish Board of Agriculture, which carries out the final part of the processing. It is also the Swedish Board of Agriculture that gives you the final decision on support.

Step 3
Implement
Once your project has been prioritized by our board, the project can start, but it is at your own risk until the authority decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture has been received. Follow the activities, purpose and goals and the budget that you have been decided on. Be sure to read through all the conditions stated in your decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
We want you to succeed with your project and are with you throughout the implementation. We are never more than an email, phone call or meeting away.
Step4
End
It is important that you keep track of the project's end date. Before your end date has passed, you must have completed all activities, paid all expenses and made an application for final payment in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
In the application for the final payment, you also tell us how you achieved your goals and what costs you incurred for the project.
We at the office are happy to provide you with guidance when you submit your final report for your project. Once your final report has been approved, the final payment for the project will be made.
