Youth projects

A quick application smaller support that you who are up to 25 years can apply for to realize a development idea in your locality.

Project content

Umbrella Youth projects will make it possible for young people in the leader area to realize development ideas themselves. If you are a group of young people from 7 years up to 25 who want to gather to think of something fun that you think is needed in your locality and then implement the idea together, there is the opportunity to apply for a ”micro-support” of up to 30,000 SEK in support.

This means that you can apply for micro-support directly from the Leader office without going through the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

The micro-support cannot be used to pay your own salaries, but can be used to purchase external expertise, materials, and other things you need to implement an idea. It can also be used to carry out study trips or in other ways take part in others' good examples.

The hope is that the micro-support contributes to new solutions for associations around the leader area.

Micro-support can be used to carry out various activities. The important thing is that it is an idea that you young people have come up with yourselves and that you implement on your own. The project should contribute to making your place better in some way. It can be an event, a leisure activity, building something that many can use, or something completely different that we haven't thought of.

It can include everything from inspiration meetings and knowledge gathering to carrying out completely new activities. Only you know what you think is missing in your locality and what you would like to try to implement yourselves. For example:
− Study visits to places where young people have carried out their own development work
− Meeting costs to meet and plan together
− Hire external expertise for investigation, analysis, statistics, etc.
− Hire external expertise to conduct workshops, lectures, think tanks
− Activities that you want to take up yourselves (costs for music events, purchase of items for a volleyball tournament, etc.)

The support can be applied for by an association or organization located in the municipalities of Bräcke, Ånge, Timrå, and Sundsvall, with the exception of Sundsvall's urban area.

About umbrella projects and micro-support

”Umbrella project” means that Leader Mittland Plus has applied for and been granted support that we can then distribute to smaller so-called micro-projects. The money is with Leader Mittland Plus and the application is made easily via a form, and a smaller group from the board decides.

In this way, we can distribute project funds with short notice.

The application process is such that the organization that wants to apply for micro-support answers a number of questions about its project, submits a detailed budget, and then waits for a decision from us.

When you have received a decision on micro-support, you can carry out your activity and pay the costs that you have had approved in advance.

Once the activity has been carried out, you report what you have done in a reporting form and submit invoices/receipts and proof that the organization that applied for the micro-support has paid for the cost.

When we have checked that everything is correct, we will pay out compensation for the costs you have incurred.

Our requirement is that everyone who receives micro-support must inform that the money comes from Leader Mittland Plus and the Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, as well as show how you have informed about it.
