LAG Board's Decision Justification

LAG decides to prioritize the project as it meets all basic requirements and achieves more than 300 points, which means that the project is assessed to contribute to the goals and efforts included in the implementation of the local development strategy for Leader Mittland Plus.

The applicant has described in their application that the project's benefits accrue to the countryside, follows the basic principles of the leader method regarding partnership, local anchoring, and local innovation, and through its results can contribute to the local strategy's goal and action areas 2 and 3, primarily through activities for digital hiking and cycling maps.

The identified touchpoints are 2A strengthen the attractiveness of our places to live, work, and visit, 2B alternative solutions for access to services through e.g. ”Smart Countryside” and digital tools, 2G nature and cultural conservation, making nature and culture accessible for recreation and tourism development of small-scale infrastructure (bridges, trails, signs, docks, etc.), 3A strengthen and develop entrepreneurship that aims for minimal use of the earth's ecological resources, e.g. innovative technical solutions, digital transformation, circular business models, and circulating resources, 3G diversify activities within nature, agriculture, and fishing, development of new products and production methods, and 3J development of tourism as the project indicates a business-oriented target image that will strengthen the destination and its tourism industry. The activities are assessed to benefit many, which also strengthens the attractiveness of the place in a broad sense.
