The Alnö Livskraft Association has been granted support for a feasibility study to explore the basis and interest for an annually recurring culture festival in Alnö.

The feasibility study is conducted as a mini-festival – two days with various cultural activities.

The project consists of:

– Planning and preparation of the prototype festival
– Implementation of the festival
– Evaluation and report writing.

From the application

”We want to create an annually recurring meeting place for various cultural activities in Alnö. We want to give cultural practitioners
the opportunity to exhibit their works or showcase their practice. We also want to offer festival participants the chance to
try out various activities such as singing, dancing, painting, walking on stilts, or other cultural activities.

LAG Board's Decision Justification

LAG decides to prioritize the project as it meets all basic requirements and achieves more than 300 points, which means that the project is assessed to contribute to the goals and efforts included in the implementation of the local development strategy for Leader Mittland Plus.

The applicant has described in their application that the project's benefits accrue to the countryside, follows the basic principles of the leader method regarding partnership, local anchoring, and local innovation, and through its results can contribute to the local strategy's Goal 1 of a thriving and co-creating population through sub-goal 1A Efforts to strengthen local community and sense of belonging, cohesion, local engagement, and democratic processes and 1B new and developed meeting places for all generations, as well as Goal 2 an attractive, sustainable, and inclusive living environment through the sub-goal and sub-goals 2A strengthen the attractiveness of our places to live, work, and visit and 2H cultural practice, cultural events.
