We who live here have most things – beautiful nature, a lake to swim in, preschool, school, and fantastic forest areas to walk and pick mushrooms in. What we lack, however, is a daily meeting place that can serve as a hub for the residents. In the countryside, such a place has historically been – and still often is – a smaller grocery store, convenience store, or kiosk. A place where you can meet familiar or unfamiliar neighbors, have a cup of coffee in the sun, sit down and read a good book, or just buy an ice cream with the children during the summer vacation.”

Leader Mittland Plus has been granted support for the project Smart rural 2030, a project to inspire and coach rural areas in the Leader Mittland Plus geographical area to develop ”smart rural areas” according to the EU's definition of smart rural areas.

Kovland Utveckling AB has been granted project support to implement the project Gym Kovland. The project targets residents in Kovland and surrounding areas, relatives of active participants in Kovland hockey, as well as active children, youth, and adults within Kovland Ice Hockey Association, and the project's purpose is to create a gym and gathering place for the community.

Andaltjärn Komsta-Åse FVOf has been granted project support to develop a site for fishing tourism, among other things by constructing a floating dock, dry toilet, wind shelter, and barbecue area at one of the association's fishing spots.
